Battleship Missouri Memorial

Battleship Row at Pearl Harbor
Walk in the footsteps of General Douglas McArthur aboard this historic vessel that served its nation for six decades. As the last U.S. battleship ever built, the “Mighty Mo” survived kamikaze attacks and was the site for the Japanese surrender of World War II. Both guided and audio tours are available of the decks and quarters of the massive ship which is more than three football fields long and 20 stories tall.

Diamond Head Crater

A 45-minute hike up steep hills, stairways and
tunnels will lead you to the summit of this 760-foot high extinct volcano. Its name originated during the 19th century when sailors mistook its glistening calcite crystal rocks for diamonds. Once you ascend to the peak, this highly popular Hawaiian attraction offers a panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean and Waikiki Beach. On a clear day, you can see Molokai, Lanai and Maui plus the entire Leeward coast. |

Dole Plantation

about this tasty member of the bromeliad family
as you tour the restored plantation of Jim Dole,
the “Pineapple King.” The estate is home to the
Pineapple Garden Maze, masterfully sculpted out

Halona “Blow Hole” Kolanianaole Highway
Named after the Hawaiian word for “peering place,” this ocean geyser is a natural yet unpredictable wonder. When breaking surf inside the Kaiwi Channel is forced through an “L” shaped lava tube, the tremendous pressure periodically creates a spectacular explosion
of water.

Iolani Palace

The only state palace on U.S. soil was the residence of the last monarchs of Hawaii. It was completed in 1882 for King Kalakaua and his sister-successor Queen Liliuokalani and remained in royal hands until the 1893 overthrow. From 1893 until 1968, it served as Hawaii’s official capitol. The Palace Galleries showcase crown jewels and a royal collection of vases and paintings. Both docent-guided or self-guided tours are available. |

Mission Houses Museum

Visit the three original buildings that served as the Sandwich Islands Mission, Hawaii’s first Christian mission. Constructed between 1821 and 1841, these beautifully preserved structures were built in New England and shipped to Hawaii to house American Protestant missionaries and their families. Guided tours and living history demonstrations teach more about the daily lives of these 19th century pioneers who shared their faith with the native tribes from the village of Honolulu. Daily tours are at 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 2:45 p.m.

USS Arizona Memorial and Museum

Experience living history at this somber tribute
to the 1,777 crewmen who lost their lives on
December 7th, 1941 aboard the USS Arizona.
The museum’s exhibits display photos, letters,
telegrams and fragments of Japanese warplanes.
A 23-minute documentary offers an insightful
historical perspective into the attack on Pearl
Harbor and America’s entry into World War II.
A short boat ride will take you to the Memorial,
which straddles the hull of the sunken battleship.
